At Virgin Holidays, we believe amazing service should come as standard. That’s why Virgin Holiday’s magic touches are made available to all Virgin Holidays customers – not just the VIPs! We realise that you want to make the most of being on holiday, so we came up with Check in, Chill out, so you can check in for your flight without leaving the beach…or bar. Airports are a drag. The holiday only really starts when you get to your destination. And if you’ve got kids, then airports are living nightmares. So, to perk up the airport experience, we came up with the VRoom. And when you’re on holiday, you want to make sure it’s as good as it can be. That’s where Virgin Holidays’ Concierge service comes in – a concierge actually tuned in to the buzz of your destination, not a guy in a suit on kick backs from rip-off restaurants. This belief is what sets Virgin Holidays apart from the competition. That’s why we actually encourage our customers to ‘Ask For the World’.

But how do you express that exclusive treatment in a single thought. What do Virgin Holidays offer that no-one else does? We think it can be described as…

“ROCKSTAR SERVICE”

It’s a level of care you’d normally associate with the glamour and excitement of the entertainment elite. Made available to every Virgin Holidays customer.

With Virgin Holidays, you can rest assured that you’ll get intuitive, imaginative typically brilliant twinkle-in-the-eye Virgin service, every single time you travel with us.

Taking the option of buying a classic car is something that’ll stick with you for the rest of your life. Many people fall into the illusion of buying a classic car and then are not willing to put in the effort that it takes to maintain it. Best advice I can give you is to try it out before you buy it, that is, go to a classic car hire company and see if they have the car you’re planning on buying. Drive it around for a while and see if its shortcomings are compensated by the pleasure of driving it.

If you do decide to buy it, then there are some steps you need to take in order to maintain it right. Classic cars are more demanding than normal cars, both because they have parts less fitted to last long like modern cars do and because they are not driven around as much. Keep and eye on the level of all fluids, from gasoline, break and clutch fluid and also engine oil. Make sure you always use premium quality fluids and keep them at a high level at all times, as it will decrease the chances of being contaminated by air.

Many of us are used to planning and booking our holiday on our own. We usually go through the same motions: looking for airfare and hotels online, and booking it as soon as possible. However, there are a few money saving secrets you should be aware of. Little ways that can help you save big on your holiday planning.

When searching for airfare online, everyone knows to shop around for the best prices. However, besides taking a couple days to check the fluctuating prices for the cheapest rates, you should also check several times a day. It is a little known fact that airfare rates can change from hour to hour as much as they can from day to day. Check in the morning, afternoon and night to really see the best rates you can get.

When booking your accommodation, you should always consider going for low cost hotels. However, you should also speak with your local travel agent to find out what prices they are offering. Many accommodation providers contact travel agents with special discounts and package deals that only they are able to use. You won’t find these special rates online, so be sure you ask a travel agent what is available. You could be in for some major savings.

Surfing is, hands down, one of the hardest things you’ll ever do. Just standing up on the board is something that’ll take you a long time to learn. But there’s a reason why so many people do it and live by it, because once you get the hang of it, it’s one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. Paddling along the water, listening to the waves and waiting for the one that’ll glide you to the beach is at the same time thrilling and relaxing.

If you’re considering spending your summer holidays surfing, then you’re in for a treat. There are many surfing havens out there, some of them in really cheap countries, like Portugal, Greece or even Thailand, Costa Rica or South Africa, if you feel more adventurous. There are many cheap hotels that specialize in helping surfers in those places. In fact, if you look hard enough you might be lucky enough to find hostels that are free for surfers, or, at least, free surf lessons or discounts on renting surfing gear. And you’ll be happier for the experience also. There’s a great spirit of union between the surfing crowd that you’ll be glad to be a part of.

If you are going to be staying in this city, you will want to stay on the outskirts, here are some of the best places to stay.

Beverly Hills is of course known for it’s celebrity status, with many mansions and shopping centers. The hotels here are equally luxurious, with every desire catered to. West Hollywood is another great area, home of the famous Sunset Strip, which offers amazing dining, nightlife and shopping. It is also the cultural center of L.A., having tons of art galleries and showrooms to keep you busy.

Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach are also desirable, being beach side and having a great pier with ideal fishing opportunities. These areas have their equal share of fine restaurants, shopping malls and districts, and great bars that provide excellent night life. As a result, parking is difficult, so it’s suggested to take a taxi to get into the hottest spots in the city. Manhattan Beach is also only 3 miles from Los Angeles International Airport, so it has easy access for travelers and tourists.

Traveling may seem glamorous but in actuality it is not.. Well unless you think that being in the same clothes for 36 hours at a time is glam. Then you read all the travel advice on how to color coordinate and accessorize. Forget it. Here are the most important clothing tips you will ever get.

Let’s start with the shoes. Firstly make sure they slip off easily, you are going to have to take them off at least 3 times at every airport. You are also going to want them to be a little loose to accommodate your swelling feet. Make sure they are sturdy and non slip. You going to need all the traction you can get running down airport passages to get to the furthest gate.

Now to the pants. The only advise I can give is Cargo’s, Cargo’s , Cargo’s. They nice and comfy, a bit baggy and most of all have loads of pockets to stash you passport, tickets, lip ice, chewing gum and anything else you need on you all the time. Do make sure that they are not elasticized, otherwise the weight of the stuff in your pockets may drag them down. Wear a stout belt for partner to yank on to get you out of the way of luggage carts.

For tops, dress in layers to accommodate the climate changes you will encounter. Also wear colors that hide all the times you slosh your drink during turbulence.

Top that all off with a hat to hide “plane hair” and you should be pretty comfortable.

Attracting thousands of tourists worldwide each year, it is known for is beautiful coastline and aquarium.

Monterey is also a great family vacation destination, with many activities the kids will love. For example, the Bay Aquarium has the most beautiful displays of marine life, and just near by is a giant kid’s park, appropriately named Dennis the Menace Park.

The restaurants in Monterey are also top quality, with plenty to choose from, and some of the best Mexican dishes around. The trip into Monterey is also worth the while, heading up highway 101 will give you plenty of amazing views of the famous coastline. Monterey Lighthouse Ave., Ocean View Blvd, Sunset Dr will give you great scenic routes from Fisherman’s Wharf to Cannery Row. You can also see Lover’s Point and around the peninsular is Pebble Beach and Carmel, which makes for an amazing road trip. You will have plenty to see before you even get into the city, with so many sights to see from your car window, or on commute from the airport.

Millions of tourists each year flock to San Diego, California, to experience exotic and rare animals in their natural habitat, and learn about the efforts the zoo has been so strongly apart of.
The zoo finally found it’s home in Balboa Park in 1920, where they worked with the natural canyons and mesas of the landscape to create enclosures for their animals. This park thrived until World War II, where attendance made the board of directors wonder if they would have enough money to keep the park open. But after the war the park’s popularity, and visitors, sky rocketed again. It became a popular destination not just for tourists from all over the world, but for locals as well. It became a popular school trip destination, where children could be educated on the zoos efforts, and what they could do to help, along with the fascinating animals the zoo housed.

Don’t forget to stop by the San Diego Zoo on your next vacation in southern California, a park with a rich history and a bright future.
