If you do decide to buy it, then there are some steps you need to take in order to maintain it right. When searching for airfare online, everyone knows to shop around for the best prices. However, besides taking a couple days to check the fluctuating prices for the cheapest rates, you should also check several times a day. It is a little known fact that airfare rates can change from hour to hour as much as they can from day to day. Check in the morning, afternoon and night to really see the best rates you can get.

When booking your accommodation, you should always consider going for low cost hotels. However, you should also speak with your local travel agent to find out what prices they are offering. Many accommodation providers contact travel agents with special discounts and package deals that only they are able to use. You won’t find these special rates online, so be sure you ask a travel agent what is available. You could be in for some major savings.

If you’re considering spending your summer holidays surfing, then you’re in for a treat. There are many surfing havens out there, some of them in really cheap countries, like Portugal, Greece or even Thailand, Costa Rica or South Africa, if you feel more adventurous. There are many cheap hotels that specialize in helping surfers in those places. In fact, if you look hard enough you might be lucky enough to find hostels that are free for surfers, or, at least, free surf lessons or discounts on renting surfing gear. And you’ll be happier for the experience also. There’s a great spirit of union between the surfing crowd that you’ll be glad to be a part of.

Beverly Hills is of course known for it’s celebrity status, with many mansions and shopping centers. The hotels here are equally luxurious, with every desire catered to. West Hollywood is another great area, home of the famous Sunset Strip, which offers amazing dining, nightlife and shopping. It is also the cultural center of L.A., having tons of art galleries and showrooms to keep you busy.

Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach are also desirable, being beach side and having a great pier with ideal fishing opportunities. These areas have their equal share of fine restaurants, shopping malls and districts, and great bars that provide excellent night life. As a result, parking is difficult, so it’s suggested to take a taxi to get into the hottest spots in the city. Manhattan Beach is also only 3 miles from Los Angeles International Airport, so it has easy access for travelers and tourists.

Let’s start with the shoes. Firstly make sure they slip off easily, you are going to have to take them off at least 3 times at every airport. You are also going to want them to be a little loose to accommodate your swelling feet.  Make sure they are sturdy and non slip. You going to need all the traction you can get running down airport passages to get to the furthest gate.

Now to the pants. The only advise I can give is Cargo’s, Cargo’s , Cargo’s. They nice and comfy, a bit baggy and most of all have loads of pockets to stash you passport, tickets, lip ice, chewing gum and anything else you need on you all the time. Do make sure that they are not elasticized, otherwise the weight of the stuff in your pockets may drag them down. Wear a stout belt for partner to yank on to get you out of the way of luggage carts.

For tops, dress in layers to accommodate the climate changes you will encounter. Also wear colors that hide all the times you slosh your drink during turbulence.

Top that all off with a hat to hide “plane hair” and you should be pretty comfortable.

Monterey is also a great family vacation destination, with many activities the kids will love. For example, the Bay Aquarium has the most beautiful displays of marine life, and just near by is a giant kid’s park, appropriately named Dennis the Menace Park.

The restaurants in Monterey are also top quality, with plenty to choose from, and some of the best Mexican dishes around. The trip into Monterey is also worth the while, heading up highway 101 will give you plenty of amazing views of the famous coastline. Monterey Lighthouse Ave., Ocean View Blvd, Sunset Dr will give you great scenic routes from Fisherman’s Wharf to Cannery Row. You can also see Lover’s Point and around the peninsular is Pebble Beach and Carmel, which makes for an amazing road trip. You will have plenty to see before you even get into the city, with so many sights to see from your car window, or on commute from the airport.
